Hi I’m hoping you can help, a friend of mine Karmann Wennerlind advised me to contact you for some advice. I have PCOS & Endo so my fertility doctor had advised Menopur & trigger shot with timed intercourse & I have been able to call pregnant 4 times but each time ive miscarried before 6 weeks. Karmann had told me about the natural killer cells test that can be done, would you be able to tell me if anywhere in the UK / IRELAND that would test this ? Thank you.
Hi Dr. Sher,
I have undergone a successful FET and was blessed with a beautiful baby girl who is 15 months old. During the IVF process to get her I was not as keen to workout as I have been in the past and during pregnancy did not as well because I had been off of it for about a year.
Fast forward to current and we are about to start the process to do another FET for baby number two. I am currently weight lifting primarily 3-4 days a week. I am curious on your thoughts on working out during a FET cycle? I have PCOS and thyroid issues and I feel better when I do workout.
Thank you!
Alexa B.
I would cut back on the heavy exercising at this time.

I’m 40 and 12 months ago had an AMH of 1.8. I’ve had 2 fresh IVF cycles- the first retrieved 6 eggs, 3 fertilised, 2 were transferred but I miscarried at 8 weeks, the third- a blastocyst was frozen. The second fresh cycle I only retrieved 2 eggs, both were transferred but neither implanted. Should I try another fresh cycle or just hope for the best with the frozen one? Feels like time is running out for my eggs and one more fresh cycle has to be now or never. Thank you.
Dear Dr Sher, I am age 39 with normal ovarian reserve. I recently did a cycle using traditional antagonist style stimulation. 9 nature eggs retrieved and 5 fertilised, and by day 5 there was one blastocyst to transfer. I was informed that none of the other 4 were ok to be frozen on day 5 however they would watch them until day 6 to see if any were good to freeze on day 6. Is this something that can happen? I was of the understanding that if a blastocyst wasn’t good to be either transferred or freeze by day 5, that was it. It feels like false hope to tell patients this if it’s not possible. Could you explain please?
Day 6 blastocysts although slightly less effective than day-5, also readily make babies.

Hi
I had my first cycle with Follistim and I reacted very well to the medication. For my second cycle they sent me by mistake Gonal-F. I asked my clinic what to tell my pharmacy and then they told me it is exactly the same and so I could keep it and take it for my second cycle.
I am wondering if it is really exactly the same? Or if I should tell the pharmacy they should send me Follistim as they had the prescription for.
What is your opinion? Can I take Gonal-F?
Thanks
Follistim and Gonal-F are identical products!
