Hey well i have been attending the early pregnancy unit for 6 times (every 2 days) i have had an internal scan and they say they cant see the gestational sac, they saw some tissue in my right ovary, i am concerned as this is my second pregnancy, on saturday when my bloods where taken my HCG levels where at 745, then on monday they went up to 1000, what does this mean? Ive to go back tomorrow and i am scared i am going to get told im not pregnant/ or have an ectopic, what does all this mean? I dont know when i concieved as i have never had regular periods, i found out i was pregnant on the 19th of april, i am really confused please help

My heart goes out to you, but alas there is nothing that can be done except to wait and see how this turns out. I would repeat the US in 1 week! And be sure to contact your local physician if there is any sudden pain, bleeding or light headedness.

My name is Chloe’ Robinson and I have been on my period since 11/23/2015 without any breaks and heavy bleeding with clots (sometimes the size of golf balls).
Here is a little back information on myself…
I started my period when I was 8 years old, they have always been abnormal (long & heavy) but never to the extent that it was over a month. My OB/GYN had put me on birth control since I was 10 years old which helped somewhat. I will have been married 7 years the August. He is in the Army Reserves currently but was AD for 12 years. During the past 5.5 years we have moved all over the world and I’ve seen a couple doctors over the year. Once he went reserves (July 2014) though we decided that we were going to TTC. I reached out to my OB/GYN who I had been seeing since I first started my period and she placed me on Clomid to help with the process. She also told me that if I am unable to get pregnant within a year it is more than likely that I may never be able to get pregnant. After the year it was heartbreaking and I sunk into this depression…Fast forward to around Halloween 2015 and I started putting on weight. Two days before thanksgiving I started bleeding heavily and have not stopped at all since then. This is heavy bleeding with clots going through multiple tampons & pads a day. February 2016 I grew tired of dealing with it and went to a general practice that had a womens health office. This new doctor ran tests on me (blood & vaginal ultrasound) and the only answer she gave me was PCOS with a large amount of cysts on my ovaries. She placed me on progesterone which didn’t help and then she tried birth control, which also didn’t help. When I called her to tell her this she openly said on the phone that she gave up and couldn’t help me anymore. I have actively been trying to find a specialist since this conversation but am unable to get the help I need without missing a large chunk of work since they want me to spend all day at the offices with multiple appointments. I have sunk into such a depression and so much bitterness that I spend so much time angry or crying.
To top this all off I also have an extremely hard time sleeping (I’ve done 4 sleep studies over the past 3 years). The longest I have gone without sleep is 68 hours yet I was still fully functional. We have lived in Texas, Germany and now we are in Georgia and still no answers with that as well. My tolerance for medication is extremely high (it took 4.5 Ambien to fall asleep) they have tried multiple medications without any answers for that. Every doctor that I have ever seen has never given me a straight answer on anything. I have a high heart rate, high white blood cell count with sleeping issues and women issues. As you can imagine I am extremely frustrated and depressed with all my issues and to top it off with being on my period for so long its not to great being “romantic” with my husband…
PLEASE HELP ME! I’m a good person I rescue animals, care about my family and try to make others happy. I just want to be happy myself and have a family of my own…

This is not something that i can address at a distance. You MUST see an OB/GYN about this matter locally and ASAP. It could be a serious issue!

I am 48 years old, from Germany, want to try IVF with own eggs. My FSH is a bit elevated,my AMH 0,6. I read enough to know the low chances. My biggest problem is , that I don’t know, where to go. I would go everywhere. I found European clinics, that would help me, but I am not sure about the right protocol. One recommends Menogon 375 I.E. in combination with Synarela with Synarela nose spray twice per day, the other one recommends Elonva 150 mcgr plus in the end Orgalutran 0,25. Now I don’t know what to do. Can you help me?
The chance of having a baby with own eggs at 48Y is virtually zero. I would strongly advocate against this and in favor or IVF with egg donation.

Hello Dr. Sher,
I had 15 failed IUI, 2 failed IVF, one pregnancy till 9 weeks when stopped. Now i will have a FET with my last 2 frozen embryos. I have Intralipid now for the fist time. I had the first Intralipid on 24 march, when i had the uterine biopsy for nk cells-the result is normal nk cells, not elevated. The second IL i had 3 days before menstruation-on 21 of april. Today i am on the day 9 of the cycle and i will have the FET. Dr told me to have the next IL when i will have the pregnancy test positive. Dr told me to have IL even i do not have elevated nk cells knowing my history because it might help implantation.
1 Please tell me if it is ok when i took the IL and if it is ok to take the next IL when i will have the pregnancy test positive or if it isn t better instead to take it on the day of the FET and another one when i will have the heartbeat.
2. How many days is IL active – protect against nk cells?( i read about 28 days)
3. Along with IL should i take also steroids? IL has any effect without steroids or it is better to take with steroids-prednisolone?

A: I personally am not in favor of randomly using IL therapy without a diagnosis of NKa. Also, in my opinion you cannot exclude NKa with confidence through an endometrial test. You need your blood tested for NKa using the K-562 target cell test. Then if +ve, you need further testing to differentiate between autoimmune and alloimmune implantation dysfunction by having both your and your partner’s blood tested for DQ alpha/HLA genetic matching because treatment is different in such cases. This having been said, I agree with the timing of treatment proposed by your RE.
2. How many days is IL active – protect against nk cells?( i read about 28 days)
A: That is about right!
3. Along with IL should i take also steroids? IL has any effect without steroids or it is better to take with steroids-prednisolone?

A: In my opinion, IL therapy is much less effective without being combined with steroid therapy.
