Hi Dr. Sher,
Yesterday, I had my 20+3 week ultrasound and I am confused by the results:
BPD Hadlock: 91.1% (21 W 5 d)
HC Hadlock: 85.2% (21 W 4 d)
AC Hadlock: 97.7% (23 W)
FL Hadlock: 62.5 % (21 W)
HL Jeanty: 74.7 % (21 W 1 d)
Cereb (Hill): 66.6 % (20 W 2 d)
1) Are the proportions normal? Sometimes I am 3 weeks to far along according to my gestagional age, sometimes not.
2) I am in the 98.9% percentile, so out of 100 only 1 baby is heavier.
Is this concerning? What are reasons for this huge heavy baby? Could the height of my husband (6’5”) play a role or gestagional diabetes?
3) Most importantly, do the results look normal or somehow concerning?
Thanks Alina
Frankly, I am in no way concerned. Quite to the contrary!
Good luck!

Hi Dr Sher,
I just found out my progesterone is at 1.7 on day 10 of an FET cycle before beginning progesterone supplementation. I am having blood redrawn tomorrow. If progesterone is lower tomorrow is it ok to continue to transfer or should I cancel? Thank you!
If you are receiving vaginal progesterone only…I would not be very concerned. If you are receiving injections then yes I would be concerned and would discuss this with your RE.

Hi Dr Sher,
I have a history of three 13 week missed miscarriages (babies all measured 13 weeks) with established heart beats at week 6. I have two live children, and experienced one of the losses in between my two kids and two losses after my last child. My husband and I have had lots of testing completed and no answers have been found. I am 36 and we are thinking of trying one more time. Do you have any thoughts about what could possibly be causing this to happen? My two live children (males) were uncomplicated pregnancies and births and are both typically developing children. I know one of the miscarriages was a male and the last two were female. The first one happened when I was 31, the last two happened at age 35. Thanks for your time!
Hi Dr Sher,
I’m 6 weeks 3 days pregnant after an FET of a euploid, but poorly graded embryo. Today, we saw the embryo with a heartbeat, measuring exactly 6 weeks 3 days. However, my HCG has risen from 2500 a week ago to only 10,990 today. That’s a doubling time of almost 3.5 days. My progesterone has also dropped from 28 to 24. Is this concerning to you? Thank you!
The levels tend to slow down in rising once they get to about 4000-5000. I would not worry too much.
Keep me in the loop!

Hi Dr Sher,
My lining was between 8 and 9 today and I am starting progesterone in 2 days and transferring in one week which will be cd17. Is it possible to transfer too early during a medicated FET cycle as long as lining and progesterone is adequate? It seems like other women transfer later in cycle… Thanks!
In general, it is my preference to transfer embryos with FET on the 6th day of progesterone treatment.
