Hello!
I am 37 and just completed my first egg retrieval yesterday. I have a 14 yr old son but was never able to get pregnant again which I later learned was due to blocked tubes(which have now been removed). My doctors keep saying they are very happy with my progress and did not truly expect me to respond so well. Yesterday we were able to retrieve 15 eggs ( they really thought I would only have 5 prior to the stim process.) I received my call from the lab a few moments ago and learned that 14 of the 15 were mature and 12 of the 14 fertilized. (Husband has great sperm). Are these numbers good for my age? We have never done this before but with no other Fertility issues other than blocked tubes what do you feel our success rate would be?
Very good!
I wish you well!

Hello Dr. Sher,
I have few questions regarding Immunology (tests done at ReproSource Lab (MA))

Other medical conditions
===================

Q1. Do I need to take Intralipid for FET procedure?
Q2. Do I need to take any corticosteroids?
Q3. Do I need to take Lovenox?
Could you please let me know.
Regards,
Rita
I am not confident bin trhe predictive reliability of blood cytokine results. The NK assay is normal so I would not give IL. Your APA (anticardiolipin IgG is elevated and that would require Lovenox. Corticosteroid therapy with ET is routine in my practice.
Good luck!

Hi Dr Sher,
I keep having Chemical Pregnancies after IVF FET and i’m wondering what tests i should ask to be done to figure out why? Prior to testing all of my tests came back fine and we found out my husband had a low sperm count. We did IVF and we got 5, 5 day embryos. I waited a month due to OHSS so all transfers have been frozen. I don’t want to keep going blindly and i’d like to ask for more testing but i’m not sure what i should be asking for.
Any help you can offer would be so greatly appreciated.
Sue
Hi Sher,
Good day.
I am coming to 40 in June. My hubby is 47 yo. This is my 3rd fresh cycle. I failed to implant in my first fresh transfer and FET.
I just did my Egg retrieval recently. Waiting to do medicated FET cycle in June/July.
a) Are my embryos quality consider bad?
b) How can I prepare my body before embryo transfer in coming June/July?
I have 5 blastocyst on 3rd Fresh cycle result:
-> 2 embryos * Day5 (Grade: 4AB, 4BC)
-> 3 embryos * Day6 (Grade: 5AC, 5CB, 4BC)
Hi Dr Sher,
My RE ordered KIR test from Reprosource Lab in Boston, MA and results came back as below. Is this looks like elevated in receptor killer cells? Can you please review and guide me what are our next steps?

I do not take this into consideration. I would need NK well activation (native state); antiphospholipid antibodies; antithyroid antibodies and immunophenotype.
