  1. I just had my fet day5 2embryos on may 25th. Is it safe to get acupuncture on may 25th?

    • Yes! And to be beneficial, the sooner the better.

  3. Hi!

I have had multiple positive home pregnancy tests earlier in the week. I went and had a blood hcg level drawn Tuesday afternoon and it was 12 and progesterone was 19. I had blood hcg redrawn Thursday morning (about 33 hours later) and hcg was 19.

Do you think there is still a chance for a viable pregnancy even though my levels are low, but rising?

    • Sadly, It does not look hopeful Samantha!

      Sorry!

  4. Dear Dr. Sher

I have learned a lot in your blog about premature lutenization and the protocols you recommend to prevent this from happening. I would like to know, what levels of LH do you think are problematic before starting the stims for IVF, and also what level is problematic or worrisome during the cycle in nmol/L measurements? Also what levels of progesterone during the cycle would indicate a problem nmol/L measurements?

    • Firstly, it is not only the concentration of LH that matters…it is also its biological potency which likely increases with advancing age and perhaps also in women with diminishing ovarian reserve. So the effect can occur even if LH levels are normal. This having been said,I become concerned when baseline LH is >4MIU/ml and basal progesterone is .2.0ng/ml.

      Good luck!

  5. Hi Dr. Sher,
I hope you are staying well and healthy. I am writing while I am in preparation for my first FET. I have 3 frozen embryos waiting for transfer after a couple of months of stimulating. I have a low AMH and lost a pregnancy last year at 22.5 weeks conceived via IUI. I have had the embryos PGS tested and had an ERA done that showed 144 hours of progesterone is ideal. Leading up to this FET, my uterine lining never seemed to be an issue but this cycle at day 7 of 6 mg estrodiol/day po my lining was 6.9mm and “weak”, at day 9 of estrodiol at the same dosage my lining shrank to 5mm. Have you seen anything like this? How would you fix this issue? Would you try to salvage the cycle and add another week to assess for improvement? Thanks in advance

    • Hello

I hope you are doing well during this difficult time the world is facing. I was writing to see what you opinion on the use of plaquenil for NK cells and cytokines in place of IVIg. I only have the high NK and cytokines caused by endometriosis . I was able to have a child using IVIg, prednisone and lovenox but because of all the travel restrictions in place it’s hard for me to get IVIg at this time. Thank you I’m advance.
