Hi! I am getting a low grade fever (99.5-100.2) after injecting the progesterone in oil shots. (Also local pains and dizziness sometimes, but those seem to be common side effects). 2 Tylenol bring the fever down, but it’s every night after I inject. Is that a normal side effect? Or am I having a reaction? Will that impact implantation (just had a FET). Thanks!
It could be a reaction to the oil being used or an inflammation at the injection site. Have your doctor examine you to see and address!
Good luck!

Hi Dr Sher, my husband and I are a full match. We have had 5 miscarriages (3 on immune protocols). We are considering donor sperm. Will I have to still go on all of the medicine to be successful? What are the chances of it working with a non matching donor sperm? Will waiting a certain period of time reduce my NK cells?
The total match if combined with NK cell activation as measured by the K-562 target cell test and/or endometrial cytokine analysis, makes the chance of a successful outcome with an embryo derived from your husband’s sperm and your egg, small (but not impossible, regardless of treatment. If non-matching donor sperm is used, you still would be advised to take Intralipid/steropids to don-regulate the NK cells!
Good luck!

Hi Dr. Sher,
My 6 week ultrasound CRL measured at 6.91mm and a week later at 7 weeks only 9.14mm.
I have a 3 year old and a history of 2 early miscarriages. We used IVF stim meds and timed relations for this conception.
Is my slow CRL gowth indicative of miscarriage or chromosomal issues? I am so anxious waiting for next weeks US.
Thanks for any information!
I do not think you can reach that conclusion. Wait a week or two and repeat the US!

Hello Dr Sher,
I had a c-section with my first baby and am planning a new embryo transfer. I’ve read that c-section scar defects are very common and that they can cause infertility. I’ve seen some studies linking c-sections to reduced success rates for FET. Do you commonly see this as a problem, and how can we know beforehand whether the defect will cause an issue with the transfer (apparently many are harmless)?
Thanks
Highly unlikely to be a problem whatsoever!
