Hi Dr…
I’m hoping if you can help !
I went to an ultrasound scan thinking I was 6weeks 3 days.
It turns out I’m a lot less then that which concerns me as they didn’t actually tell me how far gone I was could you help me work out from my Measurements.
My gestational sac was measuring 1.05cm
Yolc sac 0.27 Cm
And CRL 0.26cm
thank you for taking the time to read my comment !
Isolated readings are not sufficient. Have a repeat US in 1 week and let them compute both gestational age and growth for you!
Good luck!

Hi dr Sher
I am currently 4 weeks 5 day’s pregnant my hcg has been as follows….
11dpo – 27
13dpo – 99
15dpo – 249
18dpo – 709
The doubling time was initially every 29 hours and it has now slowed to 47 hours, although this is still in the normal range do you think it’s a bad sign that the doubling has slowed or do you think everything is still okay?
Thanks so much Steph
I am guardedly optimistic!
Good luck!

Dr Sher,
I have a persistent thin lining (ranging from 5.9 to 7mm). We have tried estrogen and femara to thicken it and only femara worked a couple of times by getting it to 7-7.5mm. I never had any uterine surgeries or infections in the past. What do you usually recommend to thicken the lining? Woul L-arginine, vitamin E supplements and aspirin work?
Hello Dr, What do you think?
FET female tested and good quality blastocyst on 9/8.
HCG 66 (9/18 11 days);
HCG 114 (9/21 14 days);
HCG 186 (9/23 day 16);
HCG 594 (9/28 21 days)
I am scheduled for another blood test 9/30 (23 days)
Hi Lily,
Sadly, this looks like a tepid rise in hCG levels.
keep doing sequential hCG tests and ultimately an US at 6-7 weeks…for a definitive answer. Also, have your doctor be on the look-out for a possible ectopic (tubal) pregnancy!
Sorry….
G-d bless!

What’s your opinion on using Femara to help infertility?
That is a very broad question. It does have a role in younger women with ovulation dysfunction but I prefer not to use it in older women or women (of any age who have diminished ovarian reserve) and for women undergoing IVF.
