  1. Hi Dr. Sher,
I previously had two failed IVF cycles. The second cycle we were never able to detect the heartbeat. In my current cycle with two embryos transferred, my first beta 14 days after a 3 day fresh transfer was 1150. My beta today (two days later) is 3388. I know these are good numbers, but of course I’m worried since my baby stopped growing at 5 weeks 2 days during my last cycle. I go back in 2 weeks for an ultrasound when I’ll be 6 weeks, 5 days, but I’m still a little concerned. Is it highly likely for this pregnancy to continue? Also, is it highly likely that both embryos implanted?

    • It seems good to me…and yes, it is “possible” that both have implanted.

      Good luck!

  3. Hi Doctor, i stopped IVIG treatments at 28 weeks pregnant. No I am 32 weeks my OBGYN wanted me to take the flu shot. I am afraid that this will mess my immune system and harm the baby. Do you think taking the flue shot without having IVIG is safe?

    Thanks

    • Congratulations to both you and your enlightened RE. I do not think the flu vaccine would do harm, but this is for you and your RE to decide.

  4. Hello Dr Sher,
I have irregular cycles and so can’t figure out my ovulation. I would like to give you my blood test results for this month. Can you please tell me when and if i ovulated?
    CD 12 E2 293 (follicular 20-100, midcycle 100-450), LH 15.39(follic. 2.4-12.6, ovul 14.0-95.6)
    CD13 E2 394.9(folic. 20-100, midcycle 100-450) , LH 17.80(follic 2..4-12.6, ovul 14.0-95.6)
For CD14 i had to use a different lab so i am confused!!!!
    CD14 E2 410 (follic 103-694, midcycle 245-1364) LH 13.5(follic 3-10, midcycle 10-110)
Then for CD19 back to the first lab with these results:
    CD19 E2 367.6 (luteal 70-250) LH 8.39(luteal 1.0-11.4) Progesterone 3.81(luteal 1.7-20.3)

Please Dr Sher i can’t read the results right. Did i ovulate and which day did that happen? Was is CD12
    CD 13 or CD14??
It is really important for me to know so i am hugely grateful for your answer!

    • I really cannot say with any degree of confidence. I would need to see the actual reports. If you like, youu can call 800-780-7437 and have Julie set you up with a Skype consultation with me to discuss.

  5. Dear Dr.Sher. In 2014 I did my 3rd IVF (EPP) at age 39. It resulted in two pgd tested embryos. One was 6aa and the other was 6ba. The 6aa was placed back and is now our 1 year old son. We recently did a FET and placed the frozen 6ba back. I got pregnant with terrific first and second beta hcg’s. Unfortunately I started cramping and bleeding at 5.5 weeks and lost the pregnancy. Any idea why this could have happened? My uterus, lining, hormone levels looked great before the FET and the embryo was pgd tested and from the same batch as our son so I am at a loss here…Is it because I am 41 now?

    • Hi Mary,

More than likely the last embryo was chromosomally abnormal. This is nature’s way of getting rid of its mistakes.
