Hello, I did my 5 day frozen embryo IVF transfer on Dec 3. My levels 13dpt was
12/15 4w3d hcg -1333
12/17 4w5d hcg -3120 – Progesterone 30.20
12/19 5w0d hcg -4860
Is this normal for my hcg doubling time to slow down so quickly? I’ve heard once you hit 6 weeks it slows down but I’m only 5 weeks. I’ve had so many ectopics and miscarriages everything worries me.
I think it looks fine.

What is the ideal level of estrogen and Progesterone in first trimester? When is it safe to wean off on external supplement?
Also, I am on 20mg prednisone and it is giving fasting level of 101-105 and post lunch/dinner 150? Does this cause harm to baby?
Does insulin increase the joint pains? They started me on insulin and I am experiencing joint pain? could this be immunological activation?

A: The levels vary widely and change progressively. Cant give you precise #s
2. When is it safe to wean off on external supplement?
A: By the 10th-12th week!

A: In my opinion….No!

I am 20 dpo and picked up first faint positive line at 16dpo. Hcg today was 77 and progesterone 18. Next test is on Xmas eve. Do the dates match the hcg level or could
It be on the decline after a chemical? Haven’t had a big bleed and lining is thick on US. Dates just seem too long for such low hcg. Thank you!!

Hello Dr. Sher,
I am 35 and about to transfer one frozen euploid embryo. The FET protocol my doctor is using is to start estrogen pills 8 days after I have a natural LH surge indicating I’m about to ovulate. Everything I read on FET protocols suggests that estrogen should start at the beginning of the menstrual cycle during the follicular phase. Is it unusual to start estrogen during the luteal phase? Do you advise against this protocol?

Hi, Dr. Sher. I transferred two PGS normal embryos (a day 5 3BB and day 7 6aa). I got pregnant but it end up being ectopic and they found that one of the embryos split in my right tube. Although no damage, the right tube was removed because methotrexate hasn’t been studied when 2 embryos exist. I’m recovering and plan to do another FET next year. Should I inquire or do anymore tests or assume this FET was just bad luck? Thanks.
