  1. Hello! Just wondering if it is okay to go 72 hours between betas instead of 48 hours? My work schedule has made it impossible to do 48 hour betas so my 1st, 2nd and 3rd betas will be all be 72 hours apart
    1 beta- 719 (10dp5dt)
    2 beta- 1880 (13dp5pt)

    • This looks very promising tio me!

      Good luck!

  2. Dear Dr. Sher,
    My AMH tests in the last 4 years has been fluctuating from 4 -> 2.84 -> 3.8 -> 5.6
do you know why the range is so wide? I think these are from different labs but same unit (ng/ml). the most recent one is double from 2 years ago! is it even possible that the number can be improved or should I test again?
    Thanks,
    Merilyn

    • It is still in the range of normal. I would not worry!

  3. Dr Sher,
Sorry for the lengthy post. I am so confused and even my doctor is confused. Not sure if it is a viable pregnancy and still has some hope or an impending miscarriage or an ectopic. I had a history chemical pregnancy(conceived naturally), ectopic(conceived naturally), anembryonic pregnancy (IVF FET) and now this.
    This time conceived naturally.
    LMP – 02/05
    Peek ovulation – 02/22
    Beta #1 : 03/10 – 28
    Beta #2 : 03/12 – 45
    Beta #3 : 03/15 – 140
    Beta #4 : 03/17 – 150
    Beta #5 : 03/19 – 550 & progesterone – 7.9
Where am I standing with this pregnancy. Is there still any hope? I am supposed to be 5w5d today (03/19) had an ultrasound but there is no gestational sac in uterus. I am so worried…

    • This does not look encouraging. It could be a failing implantation,an ectopic and there is the possibility (although small that it could turn out to be a viable intrauterine pregnancy. Only time will tell. You need an US in about 10 days- 2 weeks time for a more definitive determination.
      Sorry!

  4. My baseline CD 1 was e2 121 LH 8.2. Will 3 days of cetrotide help lower these numbers?

    • It could be a cyst. have an US examination. And yes, Cetrotide for several days might help lower the E@.

      Good luck!

  5. Hi Dr. Sher – I have a day 6 PGT normal frozen embryo remaining from a previous egg retrieval. I am considering doing another egg retrieval and then having my day 6 frozen embryo transferred 5 days after the retrieval. Any new embryos would then be tested and frozen. Is this approach advisable? Have you done this before? I don’t hear it talked about and suppose it’s sort of a hybrid between a frozen embryo transfer and fresh embryo transfer. Thanks in advance.

    • Yes indeed I have! I call this a “hybrid cycle! It will work in many cases!
