I had a 3 day FET on March 1.
Betas were:
March 11 – 53
March 15 – 128
March 17 – 226
March 22 – 1003
March 26 – 1896
Ultrasound on March 26 showed yolk sac and fetal pole, but no heartbeat. Measured 5w2d but I should he 5w6d.
This has been an emotional Rollercoaster. I’m going back for another ultrasound in 1 week. Do you feel there’s any hope?
The numbers look fine and it is too early to reliably see a HB. Wait 10 days and repeat!
Good luck!

Hello! My first beta came back at 78 with daily hcg injections, 10 days post fet. 2 chemical pregnancies before this. Second beta scheduled for 3/29. I’m very nervous.
Repeat in a few days. At this stage, the level should double every 2 days!
Good luck!

Hello Doctor!
I am 38yrs old now with DOR (0.4). I have had a couple failed IUI and one IVF cycles. In between that I conceived naturally but the pregnancy had to be terminated half way because the baby’s kidneys had cysts due to which the amniotic fluid level was decreasing. Could this have been due to poor egg quality? Then I got pregnant naturally again when I was 34 and had a healthy baby. I have been trying naturally again for a second child now but no luck yet. My fertility doctor has ruled out IVF since my ovaries had responded poorly the first time I tried IVF (2017 – only a few eggs were retrieved and a couple fertilized but none progressed further. Now my doctor has suggested IUI with medications – Gonal F (125units). Do you think this is a decent approach?
Hi there,
I am 6dp5d fet and today I have gotten what appears to be my period. It’s light but has clots and is consistent.
I don’t understand how I could have my period this early? What could the reasons be for this?
I am on 1 x Duphaston 3 times daily and we did a natural cycle. The embryos were 2 x 5ab’s so I’m very confused. Is there anything you would recommend doing differently next time as I’m assuming it’s not good news.
Indeed it is a little early to bleed and it is not a good sign. However, I suggest you stay the course and still do a pregnancy blood test when due.
Good luck!

Dear Dr. Sher,
Sorry for the lengthy post. I am 39 years old (AMH = 2.01) and currently have no partner. That is why I decided to go for egg freezing. I had two rounds of stimulation with the same protocol (with GnRH antagonist starting on day 5 of stimulation). My natural cycle is about 26 days. In January, the first round consisted of 10 days of stimulation with multiple ultrasounds and hormone checks. I had 11 follicles, and 11 eggs could be retrieved (10xM2, 1xM1). The second round (this month) consisted of 11 days of stimulation with ultrasounds, the last on day 10 (follicles with 19, 18, 18, 17, 13, 14, 20, 18, 16 mm); no hormone checks. I had 12 follicles (8 “empty”), and 4 eggs could be retrieved (2xM2, 1xM1, 1= degenerated). The second round was emotionally and physically much more draining. How important are hormone checks in follow-up rounds? Would you recommend a third round? If so, how long should I wait? Thank you!
In my opinion, hormone checks are essential so the levels can be correlated with US findings.
Good luck!
