Hi Dr Sher,
I’ve just had my first beta test at 8dp5dt which came back at 71. The nurse said this was just OK but they would be happier with a figure over 100. Would you agree?

Does a mother’s anxiety have any effect on the growing embryo? At six weeks my baby’s heart rate was 125, and eight weeks it was 185, both ultrasounds baby measured perfectly. I do have sinus tachycardia from anxiety and wasn’t sure if that could be increasing their heart rate. I go back this weekend at ten weeks!
It is possible, but unlikely!

Hi Doctor!
I started a FET down regulation on buserelin and had 3 large cysts so had to stop. I have PCOS and will next go on long protocol and start again on day 21- is there anything I can do to reduce cysts? My doctor does not think it’s buserelin having an impact. I’ve got PCOS (normal weight) and I’m worried I won’t ever get to transfer because of my cysts! I have 3 in total, one on one and two on the other m, biggest is 3mm. I have had a period since and if they haven’t gone we have discussed surgery to drain them.
The cysts should dissipate open continuation of agonist (Buserelin) therapy!

Would hcg level of 6.6 considered at 14 days past ovulation a miscarriage
NO! It is likely a chemical pregnancy. The diagnoss of a clinical miscarriage requires US confirmation of a prior intrauterine pregnancy and/or products of conception detectable in the passed specimen.

I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks and a controlled thyroid issue. I met fertility doctor gave me aspirin dhea and folic acid and come back when I got pregnant in which I did and I was giving aspirin, prostegene and injections and had a baby.
After baby periods got heavier 28 to 33 days and I had a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks. He sent me for a hsg and I had a blocked fallopian tube from c section. And also pcos which he advised my inositol. I can get pregnant no problem Issue is holding onto it he then advised me to get pregnant again another chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks. He then put me on aspirin and prostegene feom day 16-29 days and take a hcg trigger shot. Again resulted in chemical.
Can you give any advice on what I need to do next as nothing is working so far
Hello Dr. I would love some advise. I am 36yo, and have a 4 yo that was conceived naturally with my husband. We have been TTC for 2.5 years. My AMH was 2.6 1 year ago, and now it is .9. I have had 2 cancelled IUIs, 1 failed round of IVF in March of 2021, and 1 IUI that ended in miscarriage June 26 2021 . During the ER they retrieved 18 eggs, 14 mature, 9 fertilized, 6 embryos- only 1 made it to blast and was abnormal (chrom 1 and 8 duplicates). I had an IUI June 7, 2021, which led to a positive blood pregnancy test june 21, 2021 (HCG-26), followed by an early miscarriage only 4 days later. It seems that I had the same outcome from IVF and IUI- an embryo that had arrested development.
What should I try next, should I do another round of IVF or do another IUI? Do you recommend any tests before another IVF round? Thank you, thank you.
