I m rizwana, age 39. My et was done on 11 November. It was a day three transfer of two embryos. Today 5th December I have done my ultrasound and found single gestational sac of 21 mm but no yolk sac. I m really very worried. Is there anything wrong with my pregnancy??
Please note that, my 1st bhcg level was 3316.9 IU/L on 28th November. 2nd bhcg level was 7891.3 IU/L on 1st December. And 3rd bhcg level was 18,438 IU/L on today 5th December.
It will be great if u please let me know whether its a viable pregnancy.
You need to wait a week and repeat the US.
This could be too early.

I am newly 38 years old, I have four children, my 9 year old from my husband. All healthy and uneventful pregnancies. We would like one more baby together and have suffered two missed miscarriages, and one early miscarriage this year. I have been tested for bacteria, lupus anticoagulent, and something called cardiolipin. I had a normal sonohysterogram, normal blood work for vitamins, only deficient in Vitamin D. I track and appears my LP is 9-11 days long. My cycle has always been consistent every month. I am not sure what to push my Dr for next, please help. Thank you, Melissa

Thanks for keeping this blog where we can come and get advice.
I am trying to make sense of my cycle and can’t do it, so I am hoping to hear from your expertise.
First i am unlucky to have high FSH which usually hovers around 20. Beginning of November I got a period with a CD3 FSH of 23 and low estrogen levels. I was monitored the next few days but there was no follicle in sight and my estrogen levels remained low. Around CD17 I had lights spotting for two days. I had FSH measured on CD19 and it came back at 60, LH was 70 and estradiol at 24.
A few days later CD23 , again there was no follicle but FSH went down to 32, LH at 37 , estradiol at 64 and progesterone at 1ng/ml. There was also a cyst on my right ovary. The next day progestrone went more down to 0.8.
To this day, so 34 days after, there is no follicle in sight.
I guess my question is this: was that spotting a true period? Do REs consider that a period?
And if so is the FSH of 60 my new highest FSH reading?
Obviously this is really worrying me. So I am hoping to hear from you.

This does not sound very good. I really would want to know what your bloodc AMH level is, before commenting authoritatively.
Almost certainly the bleeding is not a regular period. It sounds like break-through bleeding.

Hello Dr. Sher,
Does being sick affect the results of the NK cell and immune panels? If so, how long should one be infection free before having these labs drawn? I have an appointment with the Sher Clinic next week, but I am currently sick with what appears to be an upper respiratory viral infection. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
It is best to do the testing when you have recovered for a least 1 week, in my opinion…Just to be safe.
