Hi Dr. Sher- how do you treat patients that test positive for heterozygous mthfr c677t? Thanks!
Usually with folic acid supplementation throughout pregnancy.

Hi Dr. Sher- I know you don’t use IVIG regularly anymore, but when you DO use it, how far in advance of an FET transfer do you recommend doing the infusion? 3-5 days in advance, or farther? Thanks.
IVIG and Intralipid are potentially interchangeable, only the former is much more expensive, more associated with side effects and is a blood product. . The 1st infusion is done 10-14 days prior to ET and the second with a positive beta hCG blood test. Treatment should be combined with steroid therapy until the 10th week of pregnancy in my opinion.

Dear Dr Sher,
I am in my 2ww. they are doing major renovations jackhammering for hours two aparments above mine and there is loud sound and constant vibration. i have been very tired and resting and am having to endure this from 8am to 5pm. Can vibrations and loud contunious sound for several hours distrupt implantation to cause it not to be successful? I am concered about the vibrations. can it have any bad effects for implantation and its success?
very worried.
I strongly doubt this would have an effect Felicia!

Hi Dr, I hope you can help me(us) my husband is diagnosed non obstructive azoospermia with 0 sperms. His 1st blood work came back with elevated FSH at 32 than it dropped to 24 than his urologist put him on clomephene (Fertimoid) for 6 months but we just went to test the hormones again and now his FSH is higher again at 40 and LH is also high. I’m so worried because the doctor say his festivals are damaged. I’m so hurt pls advise on what to do? Is a biopsy an option? Should we wait for the treatment to be completed end of April? Looking forward to hearing for you.
I am afraid this does not look good for your husband’s sperm function. He has testicular failure of spermatogenesis. The options remaining are probably testicular sperm extraction or using a sperm donor.
Sorry!
