  1. Hi Dr Sher,

In which cases do you recommend a Endometrial Scratch?

Is it advisable to do one anyway before a Transfer?

    • I do not ever recommend it!

      Geoff Sher

  2. Dr Sher,

I keeo being reassured that an embryo can’t fall out after transfer however if menstrual blood can come out of the uterus why can’t an embryo?

    • If it falls out it will happen at the time the embryo transfer catheter is withdrawn. Not after.

  3. My wife’s 1st HCG report is 1176
After 14 days of embryo transfer
Is it good range for pregnancy

  4. Hi Dr. Sher,
I had a genetically normal frozen embryo transfer and have had betas that aren’t quite doubling:
    10 dpt 210
    12 dpt 377.4
    14 dpt 844
    18 dpt 2933
21 dpt 5824, us showed intrauterine gestational sac with yolk sac
I am relieved that ectopic was ruled out but is this concerning for overall viability? My RE says betas can be funny with pgd tested fets. Plan is for us again around 7 weeks. Thank you (I’m a nervous wreck as this is last egg)!

    • I think this could still turn out fine.

      Good l;uck!

  5. Hi Dr. Sher. Before my IVF, I had it in my mind I was going to lose some weight and get fit and hopefully increase my chances of success. I started running 3 miles daily. I was in fabulous shape. I dropped 20 pounds and my IVF was a success. I had twins with my first transfer! Getting in shape after babies again. How much can getting in shape affect IVF outcome? Thanks for the time, as always!

    • Sounds like you did the right thing. It certainly is good to be in shape, but unless you are severely over/underweight, it should not have a major effect on IVF outcome.
