  1. Hello doctor,
Can you please tell me if there are any (negative) long term effects of the Decapeptyl CR 3.75 mg depot for my body?
How long should it take before I get my own period after a depot?
    Thank you for your response.

    • I do not believe long term effects are likely. The length of time on it is between you and your REW.

      Good luck!

  2. Above was my original question… you had replied “I do not regulate based on weight but in my opinion, even 10mg can suffice”… so do you think 20mg is an over dosage? Or do you agree with giving the “typically prescribed” 20mgs? Thank you again.

    • It is not an overdose!

  3. Can being on progesterone and estrogen post-IVF delay or prolong a miscarriage? I had some bleeding, not spotting, between 5-6 weeks. 3 separate episodes, 2 of them days apart. They were short but good volume and suddenly stopped. An ultrasound each time showed a sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole but no heartbeat yet. There was no visible cause of the bleeding ever. I was prescribed progesterone in oil on top of suppositories and estrogen I was already taking to try and stop the unknown bleeding. It worked and I am no longer bleeding but now concerned the progesterone is just masking a miscarriage or delaying the inevitable. I go back in a few days for another ultrasound but am so stressed now I can hardly think of anything else.

    • It will not unduly delay the miscarriage. It is more important to make sure the pregnancy is indeed lost before stopping.

  4. Thanks for your time Dr Sher. I have had 5 failed donor egg transfers with 2 different young proven donors in 2 different clinics. 3 were fails and 2 were biochemical pregnancies. Can i assume i have activated nkcells without testing? What would be the next test for me to do? I also have coeliacs Disease and a naturally conceived 4 year old prior to my diagnosis. I am 45. I have 3 untested embryos left. I can’t waste them. Watt should i do? Thank you

    • It sounds like an implantation dysfunction that needs to be assessed and addressed.
