I am curious to know your thoughts on this. I found out I was pregnant 7 days before my missed period. At 11dop my HCG was 116, and at 13dpo it tripled to 345. progesterone is good at 26 Is this an indication of multiples?
I do not believe so!

Hi Dr Sher, I live in Australia and we have something called “Lucrin (leuprorelin acetate 5mg/mL)”. I noticed that Lupron is leuprolide acetate 1mg/0.2mL. I was wondering, is Lurpon and Lucrin the same thing? We don’t have Lupron here by that name.
Yes Elaine! It is the same thing!

Hello Dr Sher! Such an informative website you have! I have a couple of questions re your article about lupron.
1. You say BCP can be taken for between 1-3 weeks. If 10 days, is overlapping 10u lupron for 3 days enough? Would you drop lupron to 5iu after 3 overlap days or stay on 10u for 2 more days then drop down?
2. Also, what would happen if after a cycle you went straight onto BCP and cycled again? I am running out of time and I can’t find any info about negative effects of back to back cycles.
Happy holidays to you and your family!!

A: I would drop the dosage

A: My preference is to have a full resting cycle between attempts!

Hi Dr Sher. I’ve noticed a lot of articles on the Fertility Sterility journal re benefits of DHEA on DOR women.
http://www.fertstert.org/article/S0015-0282(05)01099-X/abstract
But I resoect you and your articles so much so don’t want to take it. But interested in your thoughts re the article involving a 43 year old DOR woman!
If a DOR woman has her circulating DHEA levels checked and they’re low, is it then a good idea to supplement them? Is it a good thing that they’re low in DOR women?
Blood levels of DEA are not relevant. It is the conversion to testosterone in the ovaries which in my opinion could detrimental to the eggs…especially when it comes to older women and those with DOR.
