Hi there, me and my partner have just had a 1st round of IVF. I’m an due to have my blood tests on Monday but I have been bleeding for the last 7 days so I believe it has been a failed round. I had two embryos transferred on day 3. Can one embryo implant an one fail too? I also have a small fibroid which my specialist said wasn’t effecting the area where implantation takes place l. Should I remove the fibroid before we use our last frozen embryo that went to blast at day 5 when it was frozen?
It could simply be a matter of bad luck.
A small fibroid that is not protruding into the uterine cavity does not require removal. One that does…(i.e. a submucous fibroid) should be removed,

Hello Dr, I am 29 years old female. I have gone through a miscarriage a year ago and have just gone through some hormones test as the dr suggested. The test reports read my FSH levels as 5.29 which was on my 9th day of my period cycle, and the LH levels read 3.01. Would you please let me know if these levels are fine or is there any issues with it. Please let me know as i am really stresses about it. It will be of great help. Thank you.
FSH/LH/E2 should in my opinion be measured in the first 3-4 days of your cycle3 for optimal interpretation. An AMH should ideally also be measured.

After reading your article on functional cysts, and seeing the two options you’ve presented as treatment (watchful waiting, and aspiration) I am curious if triggering with Ovidrel or Pregnyl is a third option? It is just this third option of triggering that my RE has recommended I do to deal with three cysts, one that’s 24mm and two others that are 22m. I am awaiting blood work to confirm that my estrogen level is high enough to signal whether they are indeed functional, or not. (This bloodwork will come in later today, Feb 8.) Thank you.
Respectfully, I do not agree hat a “trigger will have any effect on a “cyst”.

Hi Dr Sher,
I’ve been diagnosed with Unexplained infertility at 27years. however, from the start of last year til end of last year my AMH went from 21 p/mol to 10 p/mol, AFC stayed the same at 20, FSH went from 7 to 9.
I did my first IVF cycle in Jan2020, 17 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilised as 1NP, 1 immature, the rest fertilised okay. 3 made it to day 3, and 2 made it to day 5 Blastocyst. Awaiting my Pregnancy test this week.
I’ve watched your YouTube channel, and from what I can see my Dr did use the protocols that you recommended for protecting egg quality, ( Gonal F and Orgalutran )
So if it’s not my age, or the protocol, what is it that is causing me to have poor embryos, particularly 1PN embryos ? My Dr ruled out endometriosis since I have 0 symptoms, and also warned against a laparoscopy as the discovery and removal of endo may in fact reduce my ovarian reserves further. I don’t know what to do and it’s taking a toll emotionally

Hi Dr Sher,
I have several frozen blastocysts that were unable to be CGH tested because of their slow growth. Are these inherently less viable than those that could be tested?
Thanks for your time and thoughts!
I am afraid so!

I had a successful fresh IVF with donor eggs, but have since has 2 unsuccessful FET (same donor eggs). Why would these both be succinctly be unsuccessful?
