  2. Is it normal to have significant ovarian pain two weeks after an egg retrieval? What is the cause of the pain ?

    • Sometimes the aspirated follicles fill with fluid and form cysts that stretch the ovarian capsule causing pain. This can take 4-6 weeks to subside. However, see your RE to make certain that nothing else is going on.

      Good luck!

  3. Hi Dr Sher. I found out I was pregnant at 4wks. This is my 5th pregnancy, with only 1 child (I loss them all around 6wks). Blood test show 8.7 HCG and 13.3 progesterone. Should I be concerned on HCG level? I am only 10 DPO. Thank you. (I am going in Monday for another blood work test)

    • That is a low starting blood hCG level. Unless the levels double every 2 days from now, this pregnancy will likely fail!

      Sorry!

      Geoff Sher.

  4. Hello! I am 17 weeks pregnant today and I noticed that my resting heart rate on my Fitbit has gone from 76 (the peak over the last month) down to 68 today. Should I be concerned about this? Is this RHR drop a sign of miscarriage or distress? Thanks!

    • I would not worry at all!

      Good luck!

  5. Hi there
I’m 5 weeks 3 days and my HCG level is 25000. The last level was 3 days ago at 8000. Had an ultrasound today where they saw gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole but no heart beat. Is this concerning at this level of hcg?
    Thanks so much

    • It is too early. Do another US in 10 days from now.

      Good luck!
