On day 10 of my cycle I usually have 3 follicles that’s around 18-20mm if it was iui I would trigger in the night of day 10. But with ivf the doctor wants me to trigger on day 11 to give the other follicles sometime to grow. However that means I take 1 more day of stims. Can the extra day of stims harm the eggs that’s in the mature follicles?
Also do you recommend pgs testing for unexplained infertility when both partners are fine? If i skip pgs testing would i have to do a embryosynthesis further into the pregnancy or is that optional?
I agree with your RE’s decision and YES, I would recommend PGS.

Hello Dr Sher,
Our first pregnancy was right cornual ectopic pregnancy wherein the right tube was removed and the cornu portion of uterus was sutured. At discharge we were advised that in case next pregnancy occur it should be delivered by elective LSCS at 34-36 weeks. We are about to undergo frozen embryo transfer. We have three PGS tested normal embryos. Is it risky to transfer more than one embryos in our case? Can having twins be risky for us given the uterus condition?
I would not transfer >1 at a time!

Thank you for your guidance; my daughter spoke with her doctor and he just changed the progesterone shots to progesterone vaginal since she was getting fever from it.
My daughter is now 5 weeks pregnant. I am very concerned how those early pregnancy 5 weeks went – almost every day she had fever -100.1 – 100.4. Will this have any impact on baby’s health?

Dr Sher,
I transferred 2 fair embryos on 9/23 and the first HCG came back as 102, then increased to 660 in 48 hours. My fist US is scheduled on 10/28. From these stats, are there anything concerning?

I transferred 2 embryos via IVF on 14.09.
My HCG betas were doubling at the high end and then slowed down:
23.09 – 132
25.09 – 324
30.09 – 2721
5.10 – 6761
I had a scan on 7.10 which showed 1 x 2.5mm baby with heartbeat So measuring about right for 6 weeks gestation.
The did see and area of blood on the scan. I’m on high level PIO shots so I wouldn’t bleed if something has done wrong.
Do you think it’s possibly that originally two embryos took but one stopped developing? Hence why my HCG stalled and a blood pocket was seen?

It is possible…but hCG levels do start slowing down as the value reaches around 5,ooo!
