Good afternoon Dr,
We implanted on Sept 22 and have done three blood tests. First one came back with an HCG level of 27. Second at 60, 48 hours later and finally the third was 160 after 72 hours. We just received the 160 level results today, Oct 13. What do these low levels that are still increasing mean? Thank you.
I am afraid you will have to have an US in about 2 weeks time to get a definitive answer.
Good luck!

Hi Dr. Sher,
I am 5 weeks and a few days pregnant after a FET. Hcg 3880, after staining I had an ultrasound and gestational sac and beginning of a yolk sac were visualized. I had a small episode of pink staining about a dime size after wiping and since I have had some light brown staining (2 days later). I am currently on 81 mg of aspirin… would you consider discontinuing aspirin or could it possibly be detrimental to the process to stop it at this point? I experienced a pregnancy loss due to spontaneous preterm labor at 22 weeks, so this staining has caused great alarm. How worried about the bleed would you be? Thanks in advance
Vaginal bleeding occurs in about 25% of all pregnancies. When it happens, it almost invariably raises the concern of pregnancy loss (miscarriage). Bleeding can also be a sign of a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy, and in cases where the distended Fallopian tube ruptures it can precipitate a life-threatening crises. However, a small amount of painless vaginal bleeding can also be the result of normal embryo implantation (i.e. implantation bleeding) or it can result a local erosion of the vagina or cervix and/or trauma during intercourse.
Good luck!

Hello Dr Sher,
I am done with my egg retreival and I got 7 embryos frozen. Below are the grades for each along with day 5 or day 6. I wanted to check with you on the below questions:
1)Which one is the best embryo from the below based on the grading to transfer?
2)what does the 3/5 or 4/5 number mean? are these good quality too?
3) Could you please rate the embryos from 1-7 , 1 being the top and 7 being the least based on the grading?
Grading:
Embryo NumberGenderGradingDay

Hi Dr. Sher,
I had a frozen 3 day transfer on September 25th. Can you tell me if my beta levels are good or if I should be concerned?
10/6 – 180 11dpt
10/8 – 386 13dpt 43 hrs doubling time
10/12 – 1241 17dpt 56 hrs doubling time
I think this is still acceptable!
Good luck!
