  1. Hi I was wondering what your thoughts are for my numbers hgc
    Oct 30 – 10
    Nov 2 – 45 and flagged high

What do you think is happening I am 42 and this is baby 8 could the high number mean twins or downs syndrome

    • No suggestion of a multiple. However, but clearly an implantation is in progress. Repeat the test in 2 days and if it doubles, do an US at 6-7 weeks for confirmation.

      Good luck!

  2. I took a positive pregnancy test 4 days before expected period and faint slime. The line got darker as days went by. Had my blood taken and hcg going up appropriately. My lmp was August 31 and judging by that I should be around 8 weeks. I went for first ultrasound the 23 and measured a week earlier (6 weeks) then I had another ultrasound done 10 days later and still measuring 6 weeks and no heart beat. Hcg now is 27346. Does this sound bad? Is there any hope?

    • I suggest repeating the US in 1 week!

  3. I’m 45.3 and still have regular periods (about 4-5 days long), am ovulating (+ results on ovulation predictor kits on cycle days 14-16), have no health issues, and have a bmi of 19. I have 3 healthy children ages 10 – 4. My last child was born at 40. Since that birth, I
have had 2 miscarriages; one at 43 (at 12 weeks) and one at 44 (at 6 weeks). What are my chances of having another baby naturally with my age and health history? I seem to get pregnant easily but I assume the damaged eggs are the ones getting fertilized. Can I do ivf with my own eggs (not interested in donor eggs)? Thanks for any insight/advice.

    • The chances of a viable pregnancy on your own are very low but not impossible.

      Good luck!

  4. Hi Dr,

I had two 5 day blastocysts transfer on October 20th .
What do you think about my numbers:
    October 28th: 63
    October 31st: 223
    November 2nd: 636

I’m wondering if they are just normal (single or twins) or too low

    Thanks for your help

    • Looks promising. My bet is on a singleton!

      Good luck!

  5. Thank you doctor.

What do you think about my hcg betas?

    • You would need to re-post them. I lost the “thread”.
