  1. Hi there Dr Sher.. with the viagra suppositories, do you have to lie down for 30 minutes to allow them absorption and are they messy like progesterone pressaries? I found the wax progesterone pressaries quite messy on underwear!!

    • No you need not. When you are upright, the vaginal canal is almost horizontal with the ground.

      It wont fall out!

  2. Happy Christmas!! I was wondering, is it best to do the agonist or antagonist in the morning and the stims as well as luveris in the evening or is it best to do them all in the morning?

    • Does not matter.

  3. Hi Dr.
I am scheduled to do a frozen embryo transfer next week but at my 14 day US my RE said I still had a follicle growing and a cyst in the outside of my uterus (which I always have). My doc was concerned about the follicle but drew my progesterone levels and confirmed I am not ovulating and scedhuked my transfer for next week. I am still concerned about the follicle. What are your thoughts on this? Oh and My lining looked great according to the RE. Thanks!

    • If you are having hormone replacement for the FET, it will not matter.

    • As stated…I would not be concerned!

  4. Hi Dr Sher
I’m 32 with PCOS and have just completed my first cycle of IVF. A total of 26 eggs were collected, 23 fertilised, 1 was transfered on day 6 & 17 have been frozen.
I’m suffering with late onset of Moderate OHSS & I’m extremely uncomfortable. I’ve had a few check ups and all my bloods are normal but I already look 4 months pregnant. I’m currently 3 weeks pregnant but with constant diarrhoea & pain, is there anything I can do to help ease the symptoms? I’m currently off work & simply resting everyday.

    • Hi Katie,

This will probably continue and even get worse until the 8th-10th week of pregnancy and will then rapidly disapear. Discuss with your RE because you will need to be observed and managed carefully!

  5. Dr Sher,

Thanks for opening up the forum for us! My husband (36) and I (35) have been trying for 6 years. The first 3 years, we tried on our own with simple diagnostic testing (SA, HSG, blood tests, etc). Everything came back normal. Then we started treatment at a fertility clinic. 3 cycles of clomid + natural timing, 3 cycles of IUI with clomid, 1 IVF (5 embryos)…..FET #1 (1 embryo, failed), FET #2 (1 embryo, failed), FET #3 (2 embryos, chemical pregnancy with HCG of 9), FET #4 (1 embryo, failed). We were devastated and decided to push on with another cycle. IVF #2 resulted in 15 embryos (PGS was done: 8 normal and 7 abnormal, which is on point with my age). FET #5 (1 euploid embryo, failed). We then did a uterine biopsy to check for receptivity and NK. Uterine receptivity was normal, uterine NK cells were within range. However, there was an elevated level of NK cells in my blood. We did an infusion of intralipids (20%, 100ml diluted in 250ml saline, over 1.5 hours) 7 days before the transfer. FET #6 (1 euploid embryo). I just got the pregnancy test done this morning and it came back negative. We are at a loss. What ELSE can we try to improve our chance next time? Would putting 2 euploids in next round make sense?
