Hi Dr Sher, what is the benefit of halving the dose of lupron when period arrives? is it to be less suppressive?
In my opinion…Yes!

Hi Dr Sher, my husband is 45 years old and has low testosterone and ED. When his testosterone was last tested it was 11. He was told this was the level of a 80 year old man. Would his low testosterone decrease sperm quality and therefore embryo quality in ivf? Should we wait and try to increase his testosterone before another ivf cycle?
Thank you in advance for answering my question.
No…it should not reduce sperm production….and taking progesterone supplements could make matters worsen my opinion.

Hi Dr Sher, last year my RE decided to try your A/ACP protocol (with no E2V) that you authored an article about. I got 5 eggs and only 1 egg fertilised.. Is it worth trying it a few times to see if it works? or do I assume it worked and I just have bad eggs. My AMH is 1 and my LH after 3 days on moderately high dose stims was 0.1. I did start on CD21, but maybe it would have been best to take the BCP before. I wonder if BCP helps baseline hormones and makes IVF outcome better?
We would need to talk!

Hi Dr. If my embryo had monosomy 22, but was not reported as being mosaic, is it possible for it to correct itself? Assuming it can, how would it find an additional chromosome 22 to self correct?
Autocorrection has not to do with cells finding additional chromosomes. More than likely it has to do with the abnormal one’s dying off and the normal ones prevailing and proliferating….A “leaching out process” if you will!

Hi Doctor,
I am currently prepping for an FET which will be done next week. Yesterday I had a mid cycle ultrasound which showed good lining (8). Yesterday they had me go from 2mg estradiol pills three times a day back to two times a day while starting with a 1/2cc of IM progesterone. Tonight I up the progesterone to 1cc. However, I started to get some spotting today and mild cramping. Does this mean this cycle is less likely to work? Why does break through bleeding occur? This is our second round of IVF. We previously had 3 failed transfers and lost two embryos in thaw. Now we have five more and we’re planning to transfer two. I am an almost 38 year old with all normal testing and a 4 year old who I conceived no problem. After I stopped breastfeeding him we tried for a year before seeking help. One clinic told me my tunes were blocked and after an two years with them and the failed attempts I went elsewhere where they showed me my tunes were not blocked as they did the HsG. Amy help is appreciated, this is our last shot as we are out of money and mental fortitude.
